When You Need Lot Clearing

If you're building something, we go first.

Lot clearing is the unglamorous step that has to happen before anything else: before the excavator digs, before the concrete gets poured, before the framers show up. If there are trees in the footprint, they have to come down — and the stumps have to be gone deep enough that the build can start clean.

We've cleared single-family build lots, driveway-expansion strips, pole-barn pads, pool-and-patio footprints, and multi-acre commercial sites. We coordinate with your builder, work to their schedule, and finish before they need the lot.

Every job comes with the same package: trees down, stumps ground deep enough for the build, debris hauled, lot left ready for excavation.

Common Lot Clearing Jobs

Six reasons we get called for site prep.

Each one has a different scope but they all start with the same call.

Residential

New build lot

Clearing a wooded lot for a single-family home. Coordinated with the builder's schedule. Trees down, stumps deep, lot ready for excavation.

Driveway

Driveway expansion

Widening a driveway or extending one back to a new garage. Often paired with deep stump grinding so the concrete pour has a clean base.

Addition

Home addition footprint

Trees in the way of the addition's foundation. Removed cleanly, stumps ground, debris hauled — usually inside a week.

Outbuilding

Pole barn / shed pad

Clearing a pad for a pole barn, large shed, or detached garage. Often includes brush clearing on overgrown sites.

Pool

Pool & patio site prep

Trees in the pool dig area. We remove, grind deep, and clear so the excavator can start clean.

Commercial

Commercial lot prep

Larger-scale clearing for retail, office, or industrial site development. Coordinated with the GC and engineering.

What's Included

Trees down. Stumps gone. Lot ready.

Lot clearing isn't a single service — it's a coordinated set of services packaged into one job. Everything bundled into the quote, scoped to the build requirements.

  • Multi-tree removal — sectional or fell-whole depending on access, up to 90-foot hardwoods
  • Deep stump grinding — 12–18 inches below grade for concrete, footer, or pool pours
  • Brush & undergrowth clearing — woody undergrowth and saplings removed
  • Debris haul — chips, logs, and rounds all hauled. Or we can leave a log pile if you want firewood
  • Builder coordination — we work to the build schedule, not the other way around
  • Permit assistance — if your township requires tree removal permits, we can document for the application

What It Costs

Priced by lot size and tree count. Free walk-through, written estimate.

Lot clearing pricing depends on the lot's acreage, the number and size of the trees, the depth of stump grinding required for what's being built, and the access for our equipment. A single tree blocking a driveway expansion is a different quote than a multi-acre wooded lot for a new build.

Free walk-through and written estimate. For builders and contractors, we can scope multiple sites in one visit. Builder partnerships welcome — single point of contact, predictable scheduling, clean billing.
